I am not sure what type of duck the mother is. If you know feel free to identify it. It is becoming obvious that I am not very good at identifying bird species!
Yeppers a female one at that. They just don't have the colors like the male do. Most birds, ducks etc...the male is dominant in color, compared to the female.
