Yesterday the water system in our little subdivision was planned to be shut off for some maintenance work. The night before mom filled the garden tub in the master bath with water. That way if the water was off longer than expected, we would be prepared. At least we would have water to flush the toilets!
Dad worked most of the day on the water system. We never did have to turn it off. We were able to isolate the area we were working on using valves. When I came home I was sweaty and dirty. Mom dared dad to not waste water and jump in the tub!
Now dad can be goofy from time to time, so he started up the hot shower and then jumped in the cold water of the tub. Dang that was cold. Then I immediately ran to the shower.
Of coarse the kids thought that would be great fun and had to get in on the act. So dad had them put on some swin gear and let them give it a try. We had a contest to see who could submerge the furthest.
I think Preston won!
