Pluot Jam

Angela spent a good part of the day making pluot jam. What is a pluot you ask? It is a cross hybrid of a plum and an apricot, being 3/4 plum and 1/4 apricot. You can read all about it here, if your so inclined. They are very delicious. We have never tried pluot jam before, but if licking the spoon is any indication of how good the finished product is going to be, it will be a hit with our family. We used a recipe that I found online. Check it out here. Ruby helped by pulling off all the stems and washing the fruit.

I will let you know how good it is in a day or two!

  1. The jam looks delicious. I love the deep color. Where did you get the pluots from?

  2. A fruit truck from Idaho comes to the valley every fall. It has a lot of different varieties fruit, including pluots. This is the first time that we have tried them. From what I have read, they can be found in the grocery stores from time to time. (I have never seen them).
