Lets Get Out of This House!

We have been cooped up in the house for quite some time now. All of us have been itching to get out of the house, and today we did just that. A simple ride through the valley was just the ticket to cure the cabin fever!

Fowl on the River

We stopped in the narrows and watched the Geese and ducks on the river.

No Bull

We stopped at the elk preserve and enjoyed watching the elk feed.

We went all the way to Alpine enjoying the sites and each others company

Hidden Fence

The snow is deep in Star Valley. The fences are nearly covered! In some places, where the snow has drifted, they are covered. Today was very sunny and we reached a balmy 32 degrees! The warmest day we have had in a month!

Tomorrows forecast? 6-12" of snow!

Family Feast

We do not eat out much, but we felt today should be an exception. We had dinner at Gunnars Pizza in Alpine. The waitress noticed the camera and offered to take a picture. So here you go, a rare photo of me on my own blog!

Hallelujah!

24 hours without any fever!

We have had a lot of fun the past 4 weeks! One, two or all three of the kids have been sick since late December. I think we finally have it licked. Spencer started it off. He started shivering in Primary the last week of December. He had a high fever. Preston soon followed suit. The boys were sick for about a week, then it was Ruby's turn. Ruby ran a fever for over 2 weeks! She sure had us worried! Then last weekend she woke up with a normal temperature and all smiles! WHEW! She has been fine since, but the boys started with the fever the day after Ruby rebounded. Yesterday Spencer's fever finally broke, but Preston broke out with a rash! We took him to the Doctor. (The doctor has made a few house payments from our visits this past month!) The doctor can't figure it out! He has ruled out several of the bad things, but hasn't a clue what the rash is. However Preston's fever broke last night and his rash is disappearing today! Our we ever grateful!

We are going on a long deserved family outing this afternoon. We are going to enjoy winter in Star Valley. I will take the camera and post tonight!

Grandma and Grandpa Wooners Christmas gifts have been a big hit this year; as always. They seem to know just what the kids will like.


Ruby , and the boys, have not quit using the digital studio! The boys have been sick the past couple of days, so Ruby made them each a 'get well' card. She is seen here making Prestons card.
